do you buy nice books? or only shitters/easy to read paperbacks?
easy to read paperbacks.
Nice book with old illustrations for classics (sometimes have to buy shit from a few centuries years ago when no new pretty edition is avalaible), and paper toilet material for new releases.
Hardcovers are good only if they are actual hardcovers, i.e. signature-bound.If they are a paperback with a hardcover slapped on top it is the worst of both.

I mainly collect La Pléiades.Honestly in general I prefer reading paperbacks because I find most hardbacks, especially the more premium ones, are just too big.I bought a Folio Society book years ago planning to start collecting them but I was pretty disappointed when it arrived. It looked nice and seemed well made but it was just too big and I felt like I could only read it at my desk.I love my Arden Shakespeares but for some reason they abandoned the sewn bindings and they all seem to be glued now which has made me very sad.
