The way you eat apricots is an invitation to collapse,
your lips pressed against orange suns.
The cat is a small black cloud, pacing the edge of the curtains,
its tail the flicker of longing.

A woman in a straw hat stands in a field of wheat,
her face obscured by light.
I want to be an arm reaching into her pocket
or the shadow following the curve of her hip.

There is a particular way rain smells on concrete
depending on how much time has passed since it last stopped.
The snake continues its quiet ritual,
a small act of predation against the immensity of the meadow.

This longing does not disappear
it just shifts, becoming the fabric of breathing.
Each inhale is a reaching, each exhale
a surrender.

i'd take the likes of rupi kaur over this schlock every day. you're havin a laugh right?
surely you could have coaxed something better out of the model than this besides?
my friend, i really recommend finding some poetry collections and broadening your horizons. it would do you some good to see something well written.
a poem i like has been included so as to not leave you empty handed.
>>
>>24825922
Tried to Google this poem and the AI said William Faulkner wrote it. That true?
>>
>>24826796
no.
>>
>>24826796
sorry, forgot to include the actual poet's name. James Wright.

I love you and but I hate life
So who are your favorite poets
I love eliot and Pessoa and frank Stanford and Hart crane is cool too
Do you want to die
I want to die by suicide
I can see that there is an astronomical end to it all
It can be mapped in math
Technology and time and just the wideness of space
Sorry
I'm drunk again
As always
Anyway
How Are you?
>>
>>24827909
i don't usually share my preferences in poetry.
you should stop drinking, man.
anyway, try Ted Hughes.
Don't kill yourself.
>>
>>24827915
Idk the list of poets who were suicidal and alcoholic was / is pretty long
I want to learn Chinese so I can understand their poetry
To me it seems almost elementary, but that's me reading it in translation
And idk how their language works
It's ideographic, right? And idk really how that works
Anyway
Do you write poetry?
Do you drink a lot?
If you write poetry then can I please read your poems?
>>
>>24827931
I don't drink a lot, no. I write poetry, but do not share it here.
I'm not going to condone in any sense the act of suicide.

go have a cup of coffee or tea and sober up.
>>
>>24827956
LMAO
I can see why you don't share your shit poetry. Even the AI in OP did a better job.
>>
>>24827956
Read T S Eliot "reflection on verse libre" and then rewrite your poem and then come back to us.
>>24827938
Could you please tell me everything possible about your poetry without sharing it.
Like the blind guys groping at the elephant. One felt a broom, another a wall, another a spear, another a snake, etc.
Pls?
Ok
>>
>>24827970
i just showed you the poem, so i don't know what you want.
>>
>>24827966
Don't be mean. I'm op. Don't be mean. Either share your own poetry or remain silent.
....
I'm going to kill myself
Ok cool
How much do you drink, anon?
>>
>>24827980
i wrote that response, i also posted the poem. you understand nothing. stop drinking
>>
>>24827982
Was Hart Crane a good poet because he drank or because he killed himself?
>>
>>24827986
hart crane was a good poet because he was a sensitive faggot
>>
>>24827989
Literally name one (1) poet who's an insensitive heterosexual.
>>
>>24827995
that was the point

I wanted to ask,
has anyone else noticed that the majority of AI-generated novels you find are either 1. scams where they rip off a concept for a different real book, change the title slightly, and self-publish in the hopes of people buying them without realizing they're not the real books they're trying to read, or 2. written by right-wingers with a bunch of themes like deep state conspiracies or great replacement theory shit
