>look at a random book on my shelf I've read a couple of years ago>realize I barely remember what happens in itIs this normal?
>>24828653apparently for this board it is
>>24828653>is a normal memory normal
>>24828653Yes.Read a summary of the book on Wikipedia or wherever, you probably remember more than you think. Just need something to trigger those memories.
that's what you get for reading "classics"
>>24828653this is what happens when you're a friendless loser that doesn't talk to others about what you're reading. you need related memories to fix the book in your head for good, like "i read my favorite passage to an arthoe and she gave me head"
>>24828653I think not remembering exact details and nuances is normal, and i've definitely noticed it happening faster with collections of short stories or plays, but if you completely forget the entire outline that is a little concerning. Read slower perhaps. Reading is not about quantity.
>>24828653haha OP I love froggo XD
