It's a character study of a Mexican Latina prostitute addicted to heroin. Has anyone read it? I want to get it.

>>24831817Why not just open the link?
>>24831820I don’t read Kerouac
>>24831861Why would I care if you read him or not? Stop shitting up the thread

>>24831667>Mexican Latina prostitute addicted to heroin.she's just like me!
>>24831667Very good work if you want to see the enjambment of Kerouac's fiction into fact. It transitions from the beautiful to the ugly and back and forth as he tries to find enlightenment. A wonderful work if you enjoy Kerouac, maybe not the first work I would recommend for him but it exhibits why people were interested in him. A life lived in a sordid manner in a brilliant way. People abandoned social mores to pursue his chemical mysticism. If you want to do a fun experiment, at a certain point the character of Tristessa heads to Desolation Peak. At that point I like to suggest reading Desolation Angels to simulate his aimless abandon before going back and finishing Tristessa. That of course is a novel way to read it, but one that I think gave me some insight into the character.

>>24831919He also took Neal Cassady's cock and William Burroughs cock and Allan Ginsberg's cock
>>24833403was Kerouac really such a hungry bottom?
>>24833403gawd I wish that was me
>>24833403>>24831919What are the odds that Ginsberg and Vindal made all the shit up after Kerouac became a born again catholic and shat on their dumb hippie shit
>>24834779the fact that he became a chud is indicative of the truth of their statements
>>24834779It is just lies. Even Burroughs denied Kerouac ever being a fag and he tried it on with all his male friends.
>>24832177isn't this a jawbreaker or jets to brazil lyric
>>24836727It was originally Truman Capote's put down of Keroauc. He never recovered and drank himself to death after that.
I don't know how to describe it, but there's something that feels so dishonest about thisIt's like>dude dude it's a book about a heckin prostitute isn't that dark and underground and edgy>AND she's a minority>AND AND she's a heroin addict
