Is this good or reddit? If the latter I'll just keep reading Jack Vance

I remember liking it when I was a teen, but I never read past the second book and remember very little.

I love them. The Night's Watch series is by far my favorite of them all. Industrial Revolution series is pretty good too.

The first two or more books are very different from the later books. They're these not-very-funny generic fantasy parodies. The later books have a lot more series-specific worldbuilding behind them and have a completely different feel. Some of them are definitely pretty "Reddit", like Monstrous Regiment. Read Guards! Guards!, Night Watch, Going Postal, or one of the other later novels to see if you like it. I've read 5-10 of them, I think.

The author is an atheist who warned people about the dangers of holocaust denial. Do you really need to know more?

They're quick reads. Decide for yourself. I enjoyed Thief of Time, fun little adventure.

It's reddit, but tolerably amusing. The later books are funnier.
I liked the basic premise, that humans are the RPG characters of the gods.

Keep reading both, jackass.
