>portrays libertarian commune as rapists, criminals, and delusional fanatics
>runs for office as a libertarian
What did he mean by this?

He was probably writing from experience

He was one of the biggest hypocrites of all time. First a socialist, then a liberal, then conservative and full blown centrist by the end of his life

I thought Vargas Llosa portrayed the Canudos rebels fairly sympathetically. Most of them have real redemption arcs even if the Counselor's apocalypse never came. Really it's an everybody gets fucked sort of book--the rebels are crushed despite the prophecies that spurred them, and the soldiers are gradually demoralized such that their victory is anything but heroic.
Also Canudos isn't "libertarian." It may resemble anarchism but the basis for everything is religion rather than revolutionary political economy. And Vargas Llosa's libertarianism was more the American kind than the continental kind that Gall tried to map onto the Canudos rebels.

The libertarian character makes nonstop speeches about how they have intuitively discovered the principles of anarchy

Some established personage had a massive hard-on for this faggot but I cannot recall who

He is evidently a man that makes no odds with his bestial nature. He may have been many things, but in denial was not one of the,.

rape? in a commune? never!
>>
>>24837350
In a communal commune you would have a community that would not like to live with rapists, so they would come together, as a community would do, to catch the fucker and deal with him in some way a given community would.

Need I remind you there are rapists in this world of cowardly policemen?
>>
>>24837548
Ah, just like CHAZ in the summer of love. Wait... oh right, those rapists went free. I forgot
>>
>>24837579
There weren't any rapes during this extremely short lived and left for dead period. Some drug dealing, some said there were robberies, but you only have the police's word that something bad happened.
What you're saying here is that you believe that you and your community cannot possibly come together and arrange your won lives, and that you need a government to discipline you. You're that irresponsible, lazy and cowardly.

Now tell me the one about how Santa Claus delivers presents to every child in the world in a single night.

I'm not a Christian.

You might as well be if you're gonna believe fairy tales

This ain't it, bubba.

nah, I don't think any human being alive, in either historical direction, is capable of benevolent governance. the sooner you accept the simple fact that your life or any other person's life will reflect your ideals (further still if your ideals were realized they would be calamitous) you might grasp some sense of satisfaction. but alas, you'll drink yourself to death or something like that instead.
>>
>>24837687
*will never reflect

These are childish taunts. Read up on or never speak of it again.
>>24837687
>in either
Direction-brain rot, I see. And you've fallen for the ol' state run school's brainwashing. Read some John Taylor Gatto on the subject to start with.
>>
>>24834786
libertarians revel in being shitty people. there's that pretty famous video of a libertarian party presidential debate in which the crowd boos one of the candidates after he said it should be illegal to sell hard drugs to children.

Those are "classical liberals" AKA "right-libertarians". They stole the name for maximum confusion.
Thread's about "left" libertarian. Spooner, for one.

We call that 'government'
