Has anyone ever watched this dogshit video? Ive only skimmed through it but everytime i try i either get bored out of my mind or hear him have such a stupid take that I click off and delete it from watch history.
What even is he trying to say other than “Judge Bad” and “Kid is not bad because he’s main character”

How about a better question: why do you care what he says about blood meridian? Just read the book for yourself and form your own opinion

i didn't watch much. seemed aimed at people who've never read it so it's 5 hours of summary, excerpts, and background info.

Have we really not had a cult hit on the level of Blood Meridian since 1985? I can't believe this book is STILL being talked about.
>>
What takes? He just says what happens in the book. It's a useless video not an offensive one.

It's background noise for autists. They literally watch 5 hour videogame breakdowns while playing other games. I've seen it.

You're forgetting Honor Levy -- My First Book

I don't remember all the details but basically he has some interpretation that is levels of optimism that borders on delusion such as "Kid is good guy because author never describes him explicitly as evil"

It probably already exists but no one knows about it. Blood Meridian wasn't even a hit when it released -- It sold like 1500 copies. And people only know it exists because All The Pretty Horses became a bestseller.

I haven't watched the vid in a couple years but I thought his take was that you could interpret the kid as good or bad, a person's experience with the book and their vision of the kid is specific to themselve due to the fact that its left up in the air how much of the violence the kid took part in.
