>>24836724>minimalist coverscringeOut of these only Suttree is worth reading. It's a masterpiece.
>>24836729OP, don't take literature recommendations from people who discuss the cover before the text
>>24836724Corncobby chronicles
>>24836729Oh shut up you contrarian. Blood Meridian is just as good as Suttree.
>>24837257This. Suttree was a proto-BM, he was working in both at the same time.Blood Meridian just smoothly connects all those short-story vignettes into a pseudo narrative hiding something darker
>>24836729>muh graphic underage prostitute scenes
>>24836724You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll be confused, bored, enraged, and sorrowed.
>>24836724Suttree is ass. Haven't read No Country but The Road is better than suttree and BM.
I stayed up til 5am reading The Road in one sitting, loved it.
the world is very... dark, man. its a place for grimy though skinned spit spitting wanderers of the dark and grimy earth. the world doesn't care, but is evil, and everyone could die. i mean will. its like a game. an evil game. of blood. its almost... profound.
>>24837257I much prefer Suttree to Blood Meridian, but both are fantastic.
Thing I love about Cormac is he always chucks in a dudes rock moment in every novel
