Any book capturing the millennial experience yet?
>>24843286why the hell would that happen. publishers have decided that millennials are 99% women and niggers
>>24843286Probably something like this.Surely you realize that the millennial was the last generation to be defined by the format? literature at large is as dead as 8-tracks and betamax. Currently, garbage AI models can pump out reams of custom nonsense for the inquiring zoomer mind, given that they have no stylistic frame of reference, they simply don't know or care to know the heights of literary quality. The format simply doesn't square with the zoomer, nor will it with any of the coming generations.Authorship, literature, it's going, going, gone.
>>24843286Anything by Brandon Sanderson
>>24843286there's been plenty of them
I'm working on an enormous story that begins in an environment similar to US high school in the mid-2010s, so I guess I'm kicking the project off with a kind of commentary on the young life of Millennials. The story grows considerable from there, though, and the setting changes dramatically after the first book.
>>24843309Thats more of a late millennial book. Real millennials (82-85) never had any true literary representation.
>>24843313>he hasn't read itpleb
inb4>THAT'S NOT MILLENNIALoh!?
2013-2014 was the swan song of the 2010s and millennials and I feel nothing has been real since. Gen Z is a fake generation
>>24843333of the 2000s*
>>24843286What is the millennial experience? Being unemployed while boomers run everything into the ground?
>>24843333Are you kidding? The last decade has been a blast. History is actually happening again. We've finally killed Fukuyama for good and I love it. As a Millennial myself I'm envious of the Zoomers getting to come of age in this tumultuous time when opportunity on a grand scale may present itself.I'm trying to keep in good physical shape so that I might take advantage of it myself.
>>24843313That's because they prefer to cream themselves over cheesy horror movies instead of reading and writing
>>24843309>Back to the Future >Monty Python and the Holy Grail >Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles >arcade centers That's Gen X.
>>24843346You are quite naive for thinking this.We are being folded over to be forgotten. And what is happening on the world stage is a dog and pony show. None of what you see anymore is an earnest attempt to be honest.
>>24843346>The last decade has been a blast. And gen Z has had no role whatsoever.
>>24843373I hate this fucking learned helplessness that's infected a lot of people. Your enemies are not invulnerable.
>>24843319>>24843323Doesn't really say a great deal of good considering its a meme book. Regardless its on my wishlist. I'm two years older than the author and putting out my sixth collection of essays next year.
>>24843303That's nice I'm still writing regardless
>>24843394Thats why I refuse to engage with it. Or at least bully people into suicide who talk like it.
>>24843346half of the past 10 years has been covid lockdowns thanks to retarded boomers who can't tell flu-like symptoms are just the fucking flu.
>>24843313Late gen x and early millennial is the redditcore block. Any marvel/star wars novelization will do.
My First Book>inb4zoomerzillennial, really
>>24843303I appreciate your concern with the general direction things are going in, but we're a long ways away from the average reader generating stories for personal consumption through AI. A lot of normies view authors the same way they view expensive brands. They might not understand or fully appreciate why something is good, but they know the name. AI generated stories have no branding.
>>24843313Early millennials can't be real millenials because they are influenced by fading genX culture. 90 to 96 are the real millenials
