Do you ever quote philosophers with whom you've only interacted through secondary literature? Should it be allowed?
Sometimes I namedrop philosophers that don't exist to see if people play along. Gelbowitz has a really interesting book on this. I don't think this holds up after Händelberg's critiques. This has been thoroughly rebutted by Koldevic.
