Has a book's cover ever dissuaded you from buying it?
>>24846157mfw dick in son
>>24846175>>24846184Yes, well, if only I too could indulge in such frivolities. I lent my complete works of Dickinson to a friend in exchange for a couple of poetry books, but he went schizo and moved halfway across the world and off the social grid. So, if this cover wasn't so ridiculous, I would have bought the book and had some Dickinson on my shelfinson once more.
>>24846157Yes, i found Saramago's Blindness paperback dirt cheap, but was horrified to find out the cover was simply the cover of the movie adaption. It looked terrible, complete ass like zoomers would say.
I did buy the novel, but not this edition.
>>24846157I wanted this edition of Frankenstein, but the Netflix logo is so ass.
>>24846908wtf? did the publisher's teenage daughter draw this?
>>24846918are you the same anon that made a thread about it?
>>24846908>tinder is the night
>>24846157Idk about dissuaded but this is just about the greatest cover of all time
Oui.
>>24847330what the actual fuck this is not photoshop
>>24847330the modern library no less
I want the new murakami book but i hate the american cover
>>24846918that was a good thread. My favourite message was that fuck-ass Frankenstein cover from that one seemingly unpopular publisher.
>>24847347hes a reflection of my disappointment picking up that story for the first time.
>>24846157They tried real hard to make her head look like dick, didn't they?
>>24846918So sick of this capitalist hellscape
>>24846157yeah
Would have people cared about Dickinson at all if she wasn't a woman? Is it the poet that people care for, or the idea of canonizing a woman as a major poet?
