If I order this from Hackett's website instead of amazon will it at least get some decent packing? I am fucking sick of amazon throwing books in envelopes or boxes just to get bashed around
>>24850543Anybody is an improvement over Amazon in this respect
>>24850575Maybe I should ask if hackett will actually ship it and not amazon
>>24850543Amazon is a joke as always but I usually have a good experience buying hardcovers, mine usually come packed in sturdier cardboard than their usual plastic condom wrapping that ruins paperbacks. The last 3-4 everyman's library books I've bought on amazon have arrived in perfect shape.
Jeff Bezos come up with Amazon so that kids could read more books, support him
>>24850543This book failed my destroying test on its own before I even got around to it. The paper is so thin its built like a bible in a platform heel.
>>24852303this. i saw this edition at a bookstore the other day. the paper really is so thin you can see through the next couple of pages. OP i wish you luck.
>>24852303if it wasn't thin, the book would be twice as thick
>>24850543I had no issues ordering this particular edition from Amazon. It really is quite sturdy a hardback. Paperbacks are more susceptible to arriving damaged in my experience.
>>24850543>>24852874the older Cairns & Hamilton edition has the same thickness but the quality of paper is much better. both versions contain very inaccurate translations though.
