conservative "intellectuals" be like i suck israeli dick therefore i am
>>
>>24851539
These days I'm not even sure intellectuals of any kind exist. Conservatives decided that reading is for homosexuals, and liberals decided that reading is for bigots. Only schizophrenic NEETs seem to read anymore (not counting genreslop since that's only reading in the most technical sense of the word.)
>>
I am a conservative intellectual. I post propaganda images on 4chan advocating for right-wing homosexuality
>>
>>24851539
conservatism is literally a form of liberalism
>>
>>24851679
based. someone post that image comparing rightist and leftist attitudes towards homosexuality

Conservatives and Liberals are cucked, boxed in, and two sides of the same coin. The only stimulating political books you'll read are from the far right and left
>>
>>24851738
thanks anon, it's pretty kino
>>
>>24851756
Glad you like it anon. I considered adding more quotes like by Hans Blüher, Nietzsche, Mishima, Brasillach etc. but it will get too long...

so why does the Left invariably end up pushing for homosexuality and then slaughtering the gays? I get the "Bigoted" Right, it looks like they're okay with gays that stay in the closet, but the "Tolerant" Left have, in many communist countries, killed a lot of gays. Are they just pushing gay stuff to weaken Western male-dominated (patriarchal) societies, and then once those societies have been destroyed, the gays no longer serve a purpose and so are eradicated?

Leftism should be distinguished from liberalism. Liberals want to maximise individual freedoms. However they have no positive conception of homosexual relations except as something that should not be outlawed (and as a civil rights victory).
There also seems to be a rhetorical link in antiquity between homosexuality and resistance to tyranny, per Plato
>In the eyes of the barbarians, on account of their tyrannies, pederasty as well as philosophy and the love of gymnastics is shameful; for I suspect that it is not to the advantage of the rulers that great and proud thoughts be engendered among their subjects, any more than strong friendships and associations. It is precisely this that love, as well as all these other things, especially tends to implant. And the tyrants here actually learned this by deed; for the love of Aristogeiton and the friendship of Harmodius, once it became firm, dissolved the tyrants' rule. So wherever it has been laid down as shameful to gratify lovers, it has been through the vice of those who have done so - the hankering after more on the part of the rulers, and the lack of manliness on the part of their subjects

>liberalism and leftism are not the same
agree to disagree, but even IF we take this view, you see Antifa types all the time that are clearly gay. And before you make a distinction between "antifa and communists aren't the same" just note that historically antifa was absolutely affiliated with communists.
>it is not to the advantage of the rulers that great and proud thoughts be engendered among their subjects, any more than strong friendships and associations.
so gays are just being banned because "any strong friendship is a threat to tyrants" and because gays like working out and physical strength is a threat to tyrants lol
So, long story short, the "Tolerant" Left are tyrants.

>>24851539
No, and that is to the detriment of us all. I would call myself a conservative, and I'm more than willing to admit that the days of conservative intellectualism are far behind us, at least for now. I boil this down to a confrontation between two men: Edmund Burke and Joseph de Maistre, where one represents mostly the more sane branches of conservatism, while de Maistre represents the highly religious, and therefore often very absolutist version of conservatism. Furthermore, at least in France, the Dreyfus Affair was hugely influential on intellectual life, bringing people like Leon Bloy to the intellectual forefront, who had a rather emotional way of making his points, driving conservatism further away from anything reasonable, the effects of which we see today in conservative politics

May 68 and the New Left happened. that's why the Western left and Western-influenced left changed their positions on homosexuality and many other things. you can see how countries like China and North Korea have very conservative and homophobic regimes - they weren't affected by it at all
>>
>>24851793
Liberals are divided between collectivists and individualists themselves
Collectivist libs became commies and later fascists while individualist libs became minarchists and later libertarians
>Plato thirsting after deep, hard socratic dialogue by proxy
Lol, soccy ain't sleeping with anybody, even fucking Alcibiades ,the greatest greek(ie. the greatest femboy) of his time, failed

If you don't like what's said you will not accept it as intellectual and if you do like it you'll call it "liberal and progressive".
>>
Off of the top of my head

Sam Francis
Roger Scruton
Paul Gottfried
Ricardo Duchesne
Auron MacIntyre
Thomas Sowell
Charles Murray
Curtis Yarvin
Pat Buchanan
Rudyard lynch
Cute Doolittle
James Burnham
Bertrand de Juvenal
Oswald Spengler
Carl Schmitt
Eric Voegelin

And basically every thinker before 1900 that wasn’t explicitly a Marxist or progressive.
>>
>>24851539
Not anymore. They're all just reactionary now.
>>
>>24852107
Oh and of course Jordan Peterson.
>>
>>24851541
fpbp.

By definition intellectuals and deep thinkers seek to expand their own minds, and the minds of humanity. Conservatives by definition just want to keep things the way they are.
>>
>>24852107
>>24852114
Remove the pseudointellectual rhetoricians Sam Francis, Roger Scruton, Auron MacIntyre, Thomas Sowell, Charles Murray, Curtis Yarvin, Pat Buchanan, Rudyard Lynch, and Jordan Peterson.

Keep Paul Gottfried, Bertrand de Jouvenel, Oswald Spengler, Carl Schmitt, and Eric Voegelin.

Add Edmund Burke, Michael Oakeshott, Leo Strauss, Hannah Arendt, Daniel Bell, Thomas Mann, Peter Sloterdijk, George Santayana, David Hume, etc.
>>
Nuke the word "intellectual", it's just a whitewash to pass ideologues at the service of political causes as valuable, when they nothing but subtle and more complex politicans to bait midwits who won't listen to actual politicans. You are either a philosopher or you are not, and if you aren't, we shouldn't care about what you say.
>>
>>24852114
Also Christopher rufo
James Lindsay
Richard Hanania
Christopher lasch
>>

what even is your metric for that?
