to what extent are they even unfinished? I've only read The Trial admittedly, and aside from the half-finished scene with the lawyer, its pretty complete and cohesive - even the unfinished fragments from it don't really hint at much more being intended for it. Amerika is pretty important too because the first chapter of a part of the sons trilogy, and because the novel was hugely influential on Invisible Man which is considered perhaps the most important African American novel (Harold Bloom considers it the only great African American fiction along with Their Eyes Were Watching God)
