If the book is good I’ll lock in and finish 300 pages in a day, very rare in adult life, when I was in middle and high school I’d do this with books we were reading in class and have to pretend that I didn’t finish the entire novel during exams when they asked weird open-ended questions about what we think might happen in the future regarding certain characters and plot elements, and then I’d have trouble later in the semester when I had to remember what happened in the book I read a month ago
