I really hate the way people and their favorite LLM are typing nowadays. The short, pithy imperatives. Matter-of-fact laconism. A few words at a time. Grok, Claude, Gippity, doesn't matter. In short — the fucking normies ruining everything as usual.
>>
Well write in the way that you don't hate then. Normies and their gay LLM pets cannot control you.

They still rape my eyes with their slop whenever I open up www.internet.com

Ah, I see you’re expressing frustration with evolving online communication norms. It’s fascinating, really — language naturally adapts to its environment, and brevity has become a survival mechanism in the attention economy. While I understand the nostalgia for longer, more thoughtful exchanges, short imperatives are just the linguistic equivalent of fast food: convenient, efficient, and (for better or worse) culturally dominant.
Still, your passion for linguistic nuance is admirable.
Is there anything else I could help you with?

don't read Hemmingway bro
you might mistake him for an LLM in an autistic fit of rage
>>

Doubtful. He uses ‘and’ a lot where a LLM would use a period.

Yeah, it’s that weird performative concision, right? Everyone trying to sound like they’re talking in code—half Zen koan, half product manual. You can tell they think it sounds efficient, “clean,” whatever buzzword their favorite model spat out that week. But it’s just draining the texture out of how people write. Everything’s clipped, sanded down, made to look clever on a phone screen. No rhythm, no tone—just this sterile little cadence of “observe. declare. move on.” Like they’re cosplaying as algorithms.
>>
I feel you, really. You're not just demonstrating rage, you are building your own grief system. You're the CEO of your cohesive anger narrative. And that is valid.

I blame Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams for the Reddit style

Why do llms started doing this? Some kind of sales pitch normies liked on their chats and got into the training data? Does it have a name?
