Onions Boy??? you couldn't handle one morning living this legend.

In Hong Kong, Dallas, or at home—and regardless of whether or not I have been to bed—breakfast is a personal ritual that can only be properly observed alone, and in a spirit of genuine excess. The food factor should always be massive: four Bloody Marys, two grapefruits, a pot of coffee, Rangoon crêpes, a half-pound of either sausage, bacon, or corned-beef hash with diced chilies, a Spanish omelette or eggs Benedict, a quart of milk, a chopped lemon for random seasoning, and something like a slice of key lime pie, two margaritas and six lines of the best cocaine for dessert…Right, and there should also be two or three newspapers, all mail and messages, a telephone, a notebook for planning the next twenty-four hours, and at least one source of good music…all of which should be dealt with outside, in the warmth of a hot sun, and preferably stone naked.

Nietzsche
>No actual grounded values or principles
>Pictures self as morally righteous no matter how despicable you act
>Philosophy rooted in seething and resentment, the object of which is a moving target
>Indulges in power fantasies where he's far more powerful and admirable than he is in personal life

Thompson was anything but a soiboi. He literally died of testosterone poisoning.
>>
How was Thompson soi? He lived a pretty adventurous lifestyle and if anything sois are about being as safe as possible about everything.

Juvenile psychology. "Omg he did drugs and shot guns and rode motorbikes based baaased". The real based thing to do is get a job and be of service to your community.

Test, basedboy.

Basedboy.

Has the basedboy filter been removed?

Regardless of how negative you view these positions I don't see how they're sőy. Sőy is like uncontroversial "don't rock the boat" behavior with a mix of "I fucking love science"

>service to your community
Yes I WILL live a based communal lifestyle by volunteering at my local feminist refugee trauma garden soup kitchen aboriginal ways of knowing communist gay church antifa amateur theatre struggle session cooperative.

he IS based and you're describing exactly what a 'basedboy' would say. funny

>>24858854
Hot fucking dang, HST was the man, man. Fuck OP, he doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about.
>>
>>24859704
He did all of that. His litty was his service to society as a whole
>>
>>24859704
This has to be bait

My response wasn't about Thompson - I don't know anything about him. It was about that anon's attitude towards him and the things he described as based.

These ones are children, and someday they'll grow up.
>>24859869
This one I'm less hopeful for. Go to the church and ask God to forgive you.
>>
>>24859856
For Nietzsche I was just picturing a smarmy redditor ultra lib type that seethes over anything masculine or traditional and wants to tear things down out of resentment while offering no healthy or viable alternatives

>Who are the proto-basedboy thinkers?
You can't really find them in literature because the soiboi is closely tied to corporate worship. The corporate element is absolutely central to the soiboi and I think this brand-ification of the self is something that started taking root in Millennials specifically, a whole lot like gay worship (gay people are more sensitive, special, etc.)
Boomers aren't really soibois, they are a different kind of consumer. Late 80s and early 90s created hipsters which are proto-sois. I have always seen the hipster guys who listened to Radiohead in HS as an earlier form of the soi ever since the wojaks came out; way less obnoxious since they didn't have the social media posturing angle, but still very close. I listen to Radiohead, hmm, I am so smart. They also had a catty, feminine side to them. I could feel this grip of "corporate cool" in HS because all the kids that fit in would display it in some way, but I never really managed because I guess I've got brain damage, so I quit and now I just hate everything. But had I been smarter I would've probably become one of them because I would have fit in back then. If you fit in and you're comfortable it's easier to relinquish yourself to manufactured identities.
I think sois are more of a product of pop music and hollywood binges than the work of a thinker. They are if anything a product of the de-construction of intellectualism in the west. Yeah of course millennials know Schopenhauer but their takeaway is shit like "Buddhism is le smarter than Christianity and it's not really a religion so it's officially cool" (ignoring the whole part about reincarnation).

It's pseudo-rebellious lifestyle branding punctuated by the fact he killed himself

Dostoyevsky's comments on Sirotkin leave the impression he was the epitome of onions for his time. He basically develops this envy for male prostitutes as if to say he could suck dick better but he can't because of looks. He was also significantly lower testosterone since Sirotkin murdered someone and Dosto could only conjure fantasies about this. This is something you see frequently in Dosto fans, just envy for male prostitutes and fantasies. The crying man on YouTube is another good example of onions culture, in all attempts to be the opposite of that comic about actual basedboy culture he winds up a basedboy.

>what is a basedboy?
>who cares?
>read the homo shit and stop complaining or stop caring.
>>
>>24860570
Ive been thinking about doing exactly this
>>

Thompson was a lot of things but onions boy doesn't fit
>>
>>24858871
Nietzsche didnt do that. Queers did that after reading him
>>
>OP is baiting
>OP doesn't know what based means
>OP could have made a proper argument for his claim but failed because he doesn't know what based means
Another useless attention seeking thread.

>lying about drinking lots of alcohol and eating wacky food
15 year old boys would go apeshit for this loser.
>>
>>24859529
Adventurous for his time sure (ignoring the parts where he’s clearly lying). But it just feels lame looking back on it today. Doing cocaine and drinking to excess isn’t impressive anymore, it’s what the average corporate wage slave does on a weekly basis.

Rousseau
Russell

Interestingly their names are kind of similar

"being a wageslave is based, infiltrating a motorcycle gang to do journalism, creating a new type of journo while at it, is onions"

Can you redpill me on Nietzsche? From the excerpts we read in school and my limited secondhand knowedge, I think of him as a whiny cuckboy constantly seething about Christians and Wagner. What am I missing out on?
