Are Aeneas and Jason supposed to be boring?

Aeneas was supposed to represent the perfect Roman with all his virtues: pietas, gravitas etc. You can see it in every aspect of his bearing, in concern for his father, in willingness to listen to the gods. And then he up and murders Turnus at the end, which to me reads a bit like Virgil's criticism of the Roman rule. At least that's what I remember from my first read, I should reread it.
He's definitely more boring than Achilles and Odysseus, but I still find him a mostly compelling character.

Jason is a well fleshed out character in Euripides for example, though your post is so low effort and lame I'm not even bothering writing a whole thing out about him.
