What am I in for?

Probably garbage. Why would you choose this to read in your precious time instead of the thousands of books of classic literature?
>>
>>24884840
Because life is pain and no one can bear being alive except me so I made it all up.
>>
>>24884886
So why don't you read Laurence Sterne? He offers more comfort than a mediocre writer like Stephen King.
>>
>>24884891
Except not really.
>>
>>24884922
Except in reality.
>>
wasting your time
>>
>>24884834
How did King get "Come on Mary" out of "Come on baby"?
>>
An overlong and highly repetitive story about a virus and people walking. I enjoyed it when I was like 15.
>>
>>24884931
Shamu the mysterious whale.

Ironic coming from some pompous faggot who spends his free time lurking and posting on 4chan. Wouldn't your time be better spent reading classic literature? I think you should hit the books, your pretentious taste hasn't impressed me yet

The Walking Dead.
Literally, the same trajectory in the writing.

Just like that show its starts out with a great immersive/realistic apocalyptic hook line + very well defined/flavorful sense of place (in this case Maine NYC and some other spots instead of deep south Georgia), and then totally throws it all away once the various characters link up and devolves into petty drama and fantasy nonsense.

Fuck me there's a lot of angry haters in this thread. It's a very good book, it's popular for a reason. It suffers from a dumb ending like most King books but it's entertaining throughout.
>>
>>24884834
Pure kino up until they reach Boulder followed by the most retarded ending in any piece of fiction ever.
>>
get the edition with the gay rape part because king seems to find this an essential part of his works
>>
>>24884834
A very good, almost autistic in detail, description of a world falling into ruin.
A rather trite good vs evil plot in the second part, after the downfall, with a magic nigger, an autistic savant, a greasy neckbeard, and bad guys who live in Las Vegas, of all places.

If you think the belief that classic literature is superior to pop-trash like Stephen King is 'pompous' then you don't belong on /lit/.
>>
>>24884840
Reading fiction for fun is gay. I only read instruction manuals like a real man. The pictures are the only part I pay attention to, because reading altogether is gay. You're gay.
>>
>>24885042
The latest edition only has the gay rape parts. The excised all the chaff and kept the meat. It's a bestseller for a reason.
>>
>>24884840
The truth /lit/ doesn't want to hear.
>>
>>24885063
I like and am experienced in both because I MOG you
>>
>>24884834
Stephen King writing himself into a corner and then using a literal Deus Ex Machina to get out of it.
>>
I thought it was good
>>
>>24884834
A book with good cover art
>>
>>24884834
There’s a retard in it that keeps spelling out the word moon for some reason unexplained.
M-O-O-N spells moon.
As post apocalyptic stories go, I like it.
As is typical King needs an editor.

>be fat incel
>somehow dont die

>scribble about becoming a hero and betraying satan
>die in a ditch with your faggy journal ignored while the real MCs wander around you
