>idea sounds incredible and innovative in my head>I write>read it and realize it’s the most stupid thing ever writtenDoes this happen to anyone else?
>>24891734Everyone
>>24891734Idk if I can agree with you on it being stupid. Don't forget we have been through the marvel slop, disney slop, and DEI slop phases of movies and TV. It also can't be worse than anything on Netflix
>>24891734symbols cannot capture the luminous beauty in the soul.
>>24891739>when we watch the prey flee from the predator, we see the true essence of life. the prey runs in desperation to preserve a fragment of its life; the predator pursues it to satisfy its hunger upon catching it and thus preserve its own life for a brief moment. both are driven by the same instinct for preservation and continuation. both yearn for existence. Here is an example of what I wrote yesterday.
>>24891743This is not bad, anon. You see this kind of small reflexions sprinkled in good novels/essays all the time.
>>24891734You're doing it right, you're supposed to be your own harshest critic. It's when you think it's good that you really need to worry.
>>24891743A little simplistic in both message and presentation, but still better than them. Sheittttt. I'll post some of my writing and you tell me what you think
>>24891785Ambrose and the crowd of men stared on at the scene in front of them with bewilderment. Was the inmate in front of them a fool with a death wish or some type of cavalier? Ambrose drew an annoyed expression. “Surely, the man knows what consequences his stupidity would have on the rest of us, right?” The crowd of men watched on as a youthful looking hispanic male who couldn’t have been a day over 22 and was decorated with a deep mustache and short black hair looked up to the figure they all knew too well. “What a-a-a sinful existence you are, warden!”, the man groveling on the floor spattered aloud. The female in front of the man grimaced and assumed a guard position with her body. “You’re a man’s dream of a naughty woman come to life! You are a siren, a lady of the night, a femme fatale!”. The man started to get off the floor so that he was hunched over in front of the woman with his hands clasped together. The woman brought up her left leg so that the back of her calf was almost touching her thigh. “Aphrodite, Euryale, and even the princesses of old fairy tales don’t have anything”. She released. “on y—ACK!” The man’s trail of thoughts immediately ceased as he felt searing pain across his lower face as her foot connected with his face. The man flew at least three feet in the direction of her kick and had blood coming out of his mouth. He looked down and saw a tooth was staring at him on the floor. “What a turnoff!!!”, the man said in a pained and gargled voice. “AAAAAAAAAAAA!!”, the man yelled as he immediately jerked his body upwards and clasped onto a metallic disk that was jutting into his neck with his arms. The device had a small and rectangular LED bulb on it that was currently lit and emitting a dark red light from it. The surrounding crowd of onlookers, which consisted of exclusively female guards and of a few male prisoners looked on undisturbed as a blue light could be seen all around the man’s neck. It was clear from a slight smoke that was just dissipating around the man’s neck that he was shocked. “AAAAAAAA!!!” the crowd saw the electrical shock directly this time as it struck the man’s neck again. The males averted their gaze and showed annoyance on their face. However, they were only slightly annoyed at the man. Any other inmate would’ve been in exactly the same position for saying similar remarks. They were more annoyed at this ward, this town, this city, their lives… All of the inmates in this ward of the city were men, and this debacle in front of them was nothing new.
>>24891794based.
>>24891743Only problem I see is the overuse of the word "life".
>>24891734>idea sounds incredible in my head>i write>it's just some medieval trope I forgot about
>>24891734YesI have never written a complete piece of fiction because it becomes more retarded the more I write.
>>24891990Heh, I know that feel
>>24891734Write it anyways.Maybe there are still good ideas connected to it or you will discover actually good ideas along the way.
