There is a person who lives in the apartment above me, all day every day they are home, just walking around.
12pm, 4am, 927am, just walking, always home, doesn't matter if I'm on vacation or sick or switch my day off, the are never at work, never at the benefits office. Just moving around.

Every morning they get in their car and just sit right outside with it on, running, but they never drive anywhere. They just sit there waiting, with the car running. After an hour or so they get out and go back inside.

What are some books to help me understand this person?

This person very likely has an anxiety disorder. The DSM?

one time i thought there was a car idling outside all night and finally got so mad i got out of bed to just go outside and stare them down like who the fuck are you but then i realized it was actually vibrations from a fan in the other room boy that sure was dumb

Does he live in a city with alternate street parking? Is he sitting in the car in case a meterkek comes by to give him a ticket
>>
>>24891833
No, it’s a small building with 8 units in the woods.

He's a tweaker
>>
>>24891776
Sounds like something I would do if I had a car

They might have a remote job, chingus.

But if he's like me, when he's walking around inside, he's listening to something with earbuds or IEMs in and just thinking or imagining while walking

I actually do this. It was Maladaptive Daydreaming to me. I just spent all day inside my head and walking while I did it. Walking is not something that I choose to do but it just comes naturally while daydreaming. With time daydreaming "evolved" into thinking or philosophising.

I don’t see how any of the explanations you all have offered explain why he/she hard to tell was just sitting there looking straight out at the road this morning for 30 before I left. I couldn’t see the face but from the hat brim I could see they were just staring straight ahead for like 1/2 hr.

Not at me or my place, just facing forward toward nothing in particular. It’s not even that creepy it’s just weird and annoying.

probably thinking about going somewhere, but don't have the courage to go or something like that. i would try to run into him and see if i can make friends with him out of curiosity

the walking around in the house is not that weird, i suspect many people with free time do it. i do it always when i'm reading, it's much more enjoyable and comfortable than just sitting in a chair

kek that's me

I like to pace when thinking or listening to music or even when watching TV and reading sometimes, aka I pace around my house a lot

sorry anon

I don't do that weird shit with the car though

Sorry, that's me. I will not stop. I'm likely reading.
>>
Yeah sure, your "neighbor." Uh huh. Definitely not just a third-person account of your own weird behavior.
Also "he's" probably going to "his" car to smoke weed

I wonder if most litanons would live peacefully in the same apartment. Id like to think we would all mostly get along.

Reminds me of this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_Gantner
>Early in the fall of 1990, Gantner's mental health began to falter even further, as he started calling his parents late at night. He would get dressed for work, make it to his car, and sit there for a half-hour with the keys in the ignition, before going back in his house.
