What do you think /lit/, is /ourgirl/ right? The sci-fi movement really seemed to have some weird characters back in the day, and I don't think they got much better.

Forgot subject...

>Science Fiction is Woke (and has always been)

Basically she claims the sci-fi scene always had the exact same slant as today, people were just either better so it aligned with their beliefs, or dumber so they didn't notice.

>Basically she claims the sci-fi scene always had the exact same slant as today
That is wrong. Politically, the anglophone Cold War era sci-fi scene was much more diverse, and much more rabidly anti-establishment (and that was a good thing). Those guys had much more fringe and radical up convictions than the safe "muh minorities, fuck Drumpf" package. They straight up wrote self-acknowledged propaganda for what was officially the Great Enemy and went "yeah, watcha gonna do about it?" (and that was a good thing)

Contemporary sci-fi scene is infinitely more homogenized and neutered. Like go ahead and find me a contemporary award-winning sci-fi author who is himself a Maoist polygamist and whose latest work is devoted entirely, according to his own words, to showing that in the current Ukraine conflict Russia is akshually le good.

The correct thing about "the same slant" is that sci-fi scene always was full of sexual degenerates. Now that part hasn't changed a bit (and that's a good thing).

Anon, wat the FUCK are you talking about?
>>
>>24922492
I'm basically saying that sci-fi authors were always pederasts and that's great. But they also used to be nutjob pederasts and that allowed them to write some good stuff, while now days they are boring conformist pederasts which reflects negatively on their works.
