Got my short story stocked in a book shop today for the first time. It is only a self printed booklet of a short travel essay, but it is something.

Feels good bros

Holy shit you're literally rich and famous now! You made it!

Thanks anon :)

You bet! How did you con the book store into carrying your pamphlet?
>>
>>24928404
Its not a pamphlet. Its a short travel essay of about 40 pages. Anyway it is an independent bookshop and they take independent books on consignment. They pay me for whatever sells.
>>

If I could I'd support you by shoplifting your booklet.

Tomato, tomato.

Nice man. We're all gonna make it.
>>
>>24928352
congrats buddy. I had my first story published this year too. onward and upward.
>>

How do you know they're not lying about sells and keeping the .25 cents you're owed?
>>
>>24928352
This is unironically more legit exposure than 99.99% of the wannabes here so even if you only get one sale it’s closer to the big time than most make it. Good job froganon.

You can just leave out the negative part of this post and it would be the same, probably better even so you don't come across as a weird faggot with a chip on his shoulder. Food for thought.

Genuine question: Do you try to envision who your readers are going to be? or, in more typical creepyanon fashion, do you actively try to know what they look like? Audiences always bothered me as a concept, and it's one of the main reasons why I'm very apprehensive about who I send my writings to

Congrats, would you like a kiss on the lips from a three hundred pound man with long hair?

YES
