>Cant finish his series before he dies>Has a pessimistic outlook that everyone claims is "hEcKiN ReAlIzM!!!">Tries to one up Tolkien with said "ReAlizM!!">weak payoff for badvguys when they get their comeuppance>Throws honor out because "DaTs nOt How Da gAmE Of ThrOnEs Is PlAyed!!!">goes into detail describing dicks as well as minors getting fondledWhy do people like this guy again? He seems like a colossal faggot and a creepy pervert
you just know his fat greasy cock with getting beat while he was writing about the fondling part
>>24929153I wonder what Hilary Layne's opinion of his writing is. She'd probably say it's nihilistic and grotesque.
>>24929153Because he wasn't always like that. Series will either die a true death or get reborn after he's gone, and his manuscript gets put together.
>>24929153>>Has a pessimistic outlook that everyone claims is "hEcKiN ReAlIzM!!I hate you retards so fucking much. A good chunk of his best characters are are good natured. You'd know that if you weren't a culture war cretin
>>24929153Most of the main characters in the series are fundamentally good people, despite living in a world of suffering. It's not a pessimistic portrayal of human nature
>>24929153I agree on the realism thing but I don't think his world view is entirely pessimistic. The world is dark with how many malicious human beings there are but at the end of the day, the good characters are trying to survive and make a change. And judging by gurm's idea of having considered naming the last book A Time For Wolves implies the Starks would've had some sort of comeback. You could argue true pessimism is Joe Abercrombie's The First Law, which literally ends with every character completely fucked and nothing changed.
>>24930720Hm. This raises a good question. What could George have done to make characters like Joffrey, Ramsay, or Yellow Dick more redeeming?
