>0 threads about new Danielewski Kino in the month and a half since it's been released
/lit/ will complain endlessly about the death of literature and FOID/POCification of literary culture in the West, but a HIGHLY INTELLIGENT White man releases a novel and not a single thread is posted? Surely some of you are keeping the flame of Western culture alive. What did you think of his new novel? Personally I'm stil upset he never got to finish The Familiar (his would-be masterpiece), the this is certainly better than other works of his like House of Leaves and Only Revolutions, despite being a much more straightforward work. I'm slightly saddened to see him stepping away from all the experimentation that made Danielewski such a boundary-pushing author, but a standard novel like this one really lets his prose style and genius as a writer shine thorough to the average person.

Sounds like Tommy Pinecone if you swap western with detective fic
>>
>>24930158
ya pinecon def started writing movie books in his late career
>>

Early Danielewski was more experimental than Pinecone ever was (which isn't to say he was better) but this does signal a convergence towards movie books. Maybe all of these guys just realized no one cares about High Art anymore and they might as well just write more basic stuff if the sales are going to be the same. Neither of these guys is picking up new readers this late in their career anyway, with the literature industry as it is.
