That's not a good book and I dropped it about halfway through but there's no way it can be the worst you've ever read.

I only count books I finished. It wouldn’t be interesting to list random shit I skimmed like any Chuck Wendig novel or miscellaneous self-published tripe.
>>
>>24933960
Why did you skim multiple Chuck Wendig novels?

The Bible

the book I disliked the most after reading was Doctor Sleep

If you’d believe it, the second time was by accident. My local book store was hosting a panel for aspiring writers with a “special guest.” They had a table laid out with the “special guest’s book” and I glanced through it before actually processing the author’s name

I was gonna say My Year of Rest and Relaxation but honestly the more I hate it the more I’m fascinated by it.

i have a theory that everybody recommended that book to their friend who doesn't read much because it's easy and funny and then a ton of people had it sitting on their coffee table for months so it just became an arthoe classic by being so visible.

i just finished it the other day and i thought it was alright. there were things i liked about it and it made me laugh. nothing life changing or inspiring but also nowhere near the worst book ive ever read

Part of my loathing is just the general annoyance I feel towards pretty much every character in the book, but the ending had me HOWLING. They were telegraphing it already with some of the dialogue about the friend’s new job, but I reached what I thought was the end of the book and thought, “huh, guess she showed some restraint.”
Then I turned the page.

A clockwork orange. Anybody who considers that shit beneficial to humanity in any way let alone good literature needs to be sectioned.

The Dark Forest with Cities of the Red Night a close second

This piece of shit. Finished it only because of sunk cost.

I've never read a bad book.
Sucks being a FUCKING MORON who can't instantly divine the quality of any given work of art or media.

First that came to mind was picrel. I enjoyed Klosterman's books in my early teens and revisted this one last year. He is both a terrible writer and a terrible thinker

You’re a fucking idiot. Explains why you were filtered by the book.

Quran
TKAM
Then Diary of Anne Frank

Either Little Fires everywhere or Bob Chipman’s book about Mario 3. Gonna say the first because the latter is great if you treat it as an unreliable narrator.

Probably some dumb shit they made me read in school as part of their efforts to ideologically indoctrinate impressionable minors. I don't remember the titles or authors, but ones that stand out are a book from middle school attempting to sympathetically portray illegal immigrants from El Salvador, and one from high school about a girl who's depressed and the big twist is that she's depressed because she got raped. Worthless propaganda tripe.

>a girl who's depressed and the big twist is that she's depressed because she got raped
Sounds like involuntarily making fun of rape.
