i hate this yellow light so much. it's not even the lightbulb color you get indoors. it's some nasty and disgustingly cheap looking hue. i get that white led might be a bit too cold for some, i like it, but no fucking way anyone thinks the yellow piss color is better. must be the same people who think graffitis look nice.

it must be the switch from sodium vapor to halide or whatever

LEDs can replicate an indescent light pretty good these days. The problem is that the people who procure lighting don't care about it and just care about price. A good LED bulb with >99CRI can be a few times more expensove than a cheap monochromatic LED.

LED are more than the color and the intensity of the light. LEDs flicker at a rate humans cant really perceive. But just like being surrounded by strobe lights all day, every day, it fucks with your brain.

That's just bad cheap leds. High quality leds have capacitors that smooth out the power to provide a flicker-free light. but of course if the cap costs 30 cents, the bean counters will throw a fit

The “whiteish” light on the right, more accurately represents the light from the Moon, (ie. Sunlight reflected back off the moon to earth), and therefore is more true to nature.
The “yellowish” light on the left is simply older light bulbs, or an imitation of older light bulbs, which gad a yellowish color, similar to the older candle or oil lights.
The yellowish spectrum of light from candlelight and older light bulbs less effective for sight, particularly for individuals with eye issues, and even during the age of oil lighting, and before hand, there were many attempts yo make the lighting apparatus produce a brighter light spectrum, and more illumination, and to eliminate the yellowish color.
Whale oil and sperm oil lighting fuel and candles were one method of producing a whiter light.
Coating filaments was another.
Blue pigments and reflective surfaces were also used, since the blue tone helps cancel out the yellowish color.

The moon light is very dim. Street lights should replicate fire color temperature, with 4000K at most. Bright cold white light at nigh is unnatural and bad.

We have that plus some yellowish lemon light in the town I live in.
Pissfilter is nice, but stark white makes you feel like you're on a stage which is a really cool sensation at night.
The biggest lack of soul lies in the spiritual niggers (that's you) who needs to be coddled and handed """soul""" like that which social media tells them they should want, instead of finding it as an inherent property around them.

White lights shouldn't be used at night because they disrupt the circadian rhythm and hinders melatonin production in a way that red or amber lights do not. That's why the left feels more like night, because it makes you sleepier.

There should not be any lights at night. People should carry a torch if they need to see, and cars already have headlights (which are far too bright as it is, they should simply slow down and drive more carefully, and slowly. This will reduce the noise pollution, too).

There’s far too much economic activity going on in the world. Everyone needs to slow down and relax. Especially in the evenings.

I like winter because the cold weather forces people to stay indoors and stop scurrying about everywhere.

Think about how our ancestors used to look up in the sky and see countless stars. Have you ever actually seen the night sky, that is away from all the light pollution? It’s incredible. Breathtaking. Awesome. We’ve been robbed of this for cars and Mammon.

As for these new white LED lights. They look very unnatural. The light looks like it has substance and occupies a very distinct area. It doesn’t shine out or glow. Very odd effect.

I can’t see anything at night because of all these streetlights. They’re not right.

newsflash: you live in an unnatural world. you’re a little too late to by crying out against electric light. we’ve lost counting the stars, and our ancestors missed out on city nightlife, taking pills, talking to girls in the smoking area, the lights are blinking for you. stop pretending you can crawl back into the cave. the neon’s in your blood now.
>>
>>24935044
uhh black people tho?
>>
>>24935065
"progress" is not set in stone. There is nothing stopping a town from removing every other or 1/3 of the street lights.
>>
>>24935065
> our ancestors missed out on city nightlife, taking pills, talking to girls in the smoking area
How unfortunate for them.

I’m fine with electric lights, honestly. It’s just everything is so bright when it shouldn’t be. It’s not right. It can’t be healthy. God created day and night. We sleep at night. It’s the time for sleeping, not for lights.

Perhaps we should use technology in such a way that makes life better instead of worse, though? We know that different parts of the light spectrum affect us in different ways. We could use that information to build a world where our natural cycles are not disrupted?

Try to imagine a gentler world. One where there is peace and quiet.

Before image the vehicles are coming spewing toxic gasoline fumes, shouting mechanized profanity at anyone within 200 ft, and surely trying their best to run over anyone not in a vehicle. After the vehicles left, gasoline fumes have mostly dissapated into the environment & lungs, breathing clean air now, & maybe the tree shakes a little in the night time wind. It's a beautiful miracle that nobody in their vehicle chose to roll coal on the night time photographer for not being in a vehicle. I'm thinking the right image is better if only the light was not red and that place wasn't about to fill up with frustrated idiots in their vehicular idiot machines.

Typical conservative thing. First layer is idealization of one's own youth and the way things were in that decade or so. Layer two happens for those who read about their people's of their county's past. All idealized. The lunkhead conservatives who don't read kinda get a thin layer of patriotism. Like the US has flags, Eagles, George Washington on his money.

Lefties who look to the past start to catch up on all the nefarious shit that set up present world's evils. They'll like plenty from the past, but they're less likely to see things with rose colored glasses.

There you go again.
The 1950s were not what you think they were. Sure we were coming out of that Depression slump and terrible war years, but during the Truman years we got the CIA and they immediately started up MKultra and other programs to take over the country. The US got passed the zionist project from the UK. Mossad terrorists became best friends with the CIA. The horrors of teflon, non-food seed oils started to ruin our diets. The Nazis form Project Paperclip might have done some good, but a lot of bad. The myth of the nuclear family and the ugliness of suburban sprawl. No, not a good time in US history despite the apogee of wealth and influence. It has only gotten worse and it started in that decade.
