I was about half way through Infinite Jest when I got married, then I had a kid.I never finished it and I haven't read a book this year.Going to try and read a couple books this year. But between work, playing with the kid, working out, spending time with my wife and all the other little nonsense it's hard.

Almost everyone I know read more after becoming parents not less. Reading is extremely low friction and you can pick it up and put it down whenever you want. It's extremely conductive to parenthood. It's the other electronic type of entertainment that gets cut down instead. You will never play a videogame casually ever again.
