you are understanding and retain what you read aren't you? you aren't just speeding through your books just so you can say you "read" them in order to add them to a public tally, right?
I remember a thread probably over a decade ago by now where a bunch of anons were saying they never read books twice because the "first impression is best impression" or some claptrap argument that ran like that. The board is full of plebs who simply don't even like literature.

>>24937172I always make sure I understand what I've read fully and am very selective about which books I spend time studying. It's for this reason that I wasn't able to finish Gravity's Rainbow, it was simply too dense to wrap my head around at the time and I moved on. Looking forward to giving it another go in earnest.
