>>24939512thanks very much. I have otranto castle but will read after I finish carmilla. also you forgot carmilla in your recommendation
>>24939512How is Radcliffe's work besides Udolpho? I read that and am over all, in retrospect, glad I did, but she did take 200 pages hiking and describing how sublime the mountains are before I ever got to see the castle >>24939565Based Carmilla enjoyed
>>24940906I really like carmilla so far
Did you see the newish French movie?https://youtu.be/1NIXWgBkJNUIt starts out funny and becomes goofy and then toward the end becomes very horror
>>24939565>also you forgot carmilla in your recommendationGreat book, but like Dracula came after the Gothic Golden age that lasted from the 1760s to the year 1820>>24940906Less long winded than udolpho though it's a female gothic work so feel free to skip over them if you didn't like udolpho
>>24941022no I didn't
>>24941022I don't like watching movies of a book I'm reading because after that I have the faces of the actors in my mind when I read the book and I hate it
