The Logos is reason and rational structure, a mathematical concept for many Greek thinkers. The Dao is each thing acting in accordance with it nature, that is to say what distinguishes it from other natures. So humans behaving in the way unique to humans, dogs behaving in the way distinct to dogs, and so on.
