>>24939601There's something perverse about manchildren producing deranged slop based on beloved children's characters. They cope and will claim it's edgy and I'm simply offended, yet will refuse to confront why it's perverse on a spiritual level. Not only does it point towards their state of arrested development, refusing to grow up and discard these characters for the next generation of children, it points to their spiteful nature: they have to literally subvert and destroy what that character means to children, therefore metaphorically stripping away the innocence of character for the next generation of children. A notable example of this twisted phenomenon that occured recently is the indie game where Winnie the Pooh has AIDs or some other disease that you, as the player, have to spread through his body.
