Literally everyone hates the ending, so how do you think it should have ended?
>>24943347>how do you think it should have ended? Before it began, preferably.
>>24943347I actually don't hate the ending (ie, what Roland finds in the tower). It's the1000 pages of asspulls and anticlimaxes before it that bother me.
>>24943347Child orgy
>>24943347Doesn't he write himself into the story? Lol.
>Stephen King> Bad EndingYou set yourself up for it senpai, dude couldn't write a good ending even with drugs.
It's probably one of King's best endings (not many good ones to choose from anyway). There are many things you can complain about in the last 3 books of the dark tower, and most are worse than the ending.
>>24943347So much boring or nonsensical or retarded shit happens between books 5 - 7 that by the time you find out what's in the shower, you're already annoyed at everything.
>>24943347Roland kills the man in black, realizes at the last second that he now becomes the new man in black but is gay now
>>24943805The fact that Roland and Randall never get a final showdown is pretty bad. It's literally what the series has been building up to since the first book. The Crimson King goes out like a loser too.
>>24943347>instigating fanfictionkysasap
It was over the second King appeared as a character in his own novel desu
>>24943347Book one was good. Book two felt different, and I felt like I got baited.
>>24943347Honestly, there was probably no good way to end it. After 4,000 pages, whatever was at the top of the tower would've been disappointing. I think I would've rather had a concrete disappointment rather than the copout King came up with. If Roland found the top of the tower empty, as so many characters throughout the story alluded, I would've been disappointed but I would've understood.
