Books about maladaptive daydreaming and how to induce it? Reality got stale for me. Pretty baffling to hear people living in their own custom realities inside their heads when I'm a lite aphantasiac and couldn't ever pull it off myself, or I just haven't tried enough. There are a lot of negatives to MD of course, but I'm still envious. If not MD, then books on immersive daydreaming in general?

Instead of daydreaming power fantasies like a retard, think about things that actually bring enjoyment to your real life.

Most of the time, I’m thinking about a project I’m working on or a story I’m writing.

Try to put on some music maybe?
Helps me a lot when I want to visit the dreamlands while keeping the thoughts somewhat on track.

I had a taste of hyper phantasia after waking up in the middle of the night months ago and it left me somewhat bitter. Usually I have very hazy and dull imagination but for those 30 minutes I felt like a savant. It's as if i had hundreds of minds eyes, each capable of independent and effortless focus. Mostly i just enjoyed the view but i did do some tests of my newfound abilities and realized i could narrate my experience in my second language, operate the imaginery machinery in fine detail and do two digit multiplications in my head simultaneusly. Next day i woke up as my normal self which kind of sucked. Still no clue that what the hell happened.

this used to happen in my head when i was young but as i got older it just stopped. some guy here summarized his years ago and it was damn impressive

What do you mean?

You people don’t live in fantasy 24/7? Huh?

Multiple streams of consciousness. Also happens with psychedelics like LSD.
