Overreading makes you retarded.
>>
Too much of anything is bad
>>
Overrated retarded takes.

Would watch a Schopenhauer as Scrooge remake of Christmas Carol. Each ghost he tries to argue with.

>never read him
many such cases
>>

You don't know how much value Schopenhauer holds after you read everything after him
>>
>>24947195
>Quote: be a cuck and let people walk all over you because standing up for yourself might make enemies
Dumbest thing I've ever read. It's better to have a good enemy then a bad friend.
>>
>>24947182
ghost of Christmas past: Kant
ghost of Christmas present: Hegel
ghost of Christmas future: Nietzsche
>>
What should I read from this schopenguy
>>
>>24947335
everything.
>>
>>24947296
Do you have an example of a good enemy?
>>
>>24947172
He's right, look at women and self help corpocucks. The former think of everything as romance and sex while the latter cant communicate with other people irl without mimicking a single word from their selfhelp slop. They both shared similarity with each other that their minds and selves are shaped by other people words

>I must act like a nigger at all times
wow

>>24947335
start with gracian, his favorite author
>>
Celine says something like that in Trifles for a Massacre. He says authors like Zola are robots who only know about emotions from the books they read.
>>
Doubt any of you morons have read half as much (quality literature) as Schopenhauer. Web novels and sci-fi dont count as reading.
>>
>>24947331
This would be so great!
>>
>>24947356
Doesn't take a genius to realize Schop probably wouldn't want you browsing the web instead
>>
>>24947172
Not if you are overeading formal logic for example, something that makes you confront the text

What does that have to do with being polite?

>A novel will be of a loftier and nobler nature, the more of inner and the less of outer life it portrays. This relation will, as a characteristic sign, accompany all gradations of the novel from Tristram Sliandy down to the crudest and most eventful knight or robber romance. Tristram Shandy has, in fact, practically no action at all; but how little there is in La Nouvelle Heloise and Wilhelm Meister! Even Don Quixote has relatively little; it is very insignificant and tends to be comical. And these four are the best of all existing novels.

>Wilhelm Meister
>La Nouvelle Heloise
What am I in for inner-life bros?
>>
>>24947393
Don't know about Wilhelm Meister yet but I'm reading La Nouvelle Heloise rn and it's an epistolary novel between two people of different status trying to love each other while overcoming different hurdles and staying as true to the values they hold dear as possible. There's a ton of letter who could be essays all by themselves. I tried saving some quotes and passages I liked at the beginning but gave up when I realized there were too many of them.
If you're looking for something that defends righteousness and innocence I'd say go for it. Actually if you're looking for a good book in general I'd say go for it.
>>
>>24947420
Ok, thanks anon. I'm going to read it.
>>
>>24947424
Nice! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do
>>
Haha yeah we need to take it easy, we are doing crazy levels of reading, guys
>>
the only reason to be polite is when you want something from someone
>>
>>24947172
I love being retarded!

>Kant: "imagine if everyone were a misanthrope at Christmas."

>Hegel: "you're on the wrong side of history. *unintelligible*."

>Nietzsche: "charity is actually a sign of strength."
>>
>>24947453
Stirner's philosophy is right but it's also psychopathic.
>>
>>24947172
Kind of interesting how Schopenhauer came up with the core of his philosophy when he was still relatively young, at some point I had that realization that he wasn't a bitter old man writing that but rather a young 20-something year old
>>
>>24947378
You’ll never know how your meme meant to me, bringing me straight into the philosophical support for my currenty worldbuilding. Truly, thanks.

Lol

Acting like a nigger prolongs genes. Antinatalism doesn't. Coincidence? I think not.
