>7 books completed>12 books behind schedule
Boy do I have good news for you
>>24949381I remember being able to finish them in a single afternoon back in 9th grade
>>24949373There'a always next year... You would be happy right now if your reading goal had been a total amount of 5
>>24949373in a year? seven books in a year?
>>24949400Yes, and 3 of those are dropped halfway through
>>24949373What's your excuse? Please, lay it on us...
>>24949373It is ok OP. I didn’t read as much as I intended to either.
>>24949405working a lot and playing more games than usually
>>24949373Sucks to be you
>>24949425Wrong image
>>24949373>1 book a yearLord of the Flies>2 to 5 books a yearA good droogie like a clockwork >6 to 11 books a yearA very hungry caterpillar>12 books a yearAtreyu, hero of Fantasia>13 to 23 books a yearGlobglogabgalab>24 books a yearProud mid-wit >25 to 51 books a year/Lit/izen Kane>52 books a yearentry level patrician
>>24949373Did you predetermine which books they were or just the number?
>>24949434I had some books in mind, yeah, but something strucked me in the head and I started working like a madman this year and got into fromsoftware games and had zero time for books
>>24949404Then you didn't complete them retarded frog
>>24949427Is this supposed to be impressive?
What were the books and what are your thoughts on them
>>24949416>working a lotQuit>playing more games than usualKill yourself
>>24949460>QuitI will soon>Kill yourselfno, thank you>>24949458Blood Meridian, House of Leaves, Ada or Ardor, Earthsea, King in Yellow, Witcher: Claws and Fangs, Ferdydurke.Half of them were amazing books I want to reread, the other half were worthless slop I don't want to interact with ever again. I'm not going to tell which were which
>>24949373Any non-zero amount of books is a good amount of books, so good job, anon. It's constructive to feel this way, and it lets you look ahead to the next year with a goal in mind. If you did seven, aim for eight - any more will be a bonus.>>24949475Some hefty ones in here, that easily could have been 2+ smaller books (especially Earthsea, if you mean the collected edition?). Don't let it get you down.
>>24949452It is to me. I don't actually care what you think I just posted it for my own admiration. I like to talk to myself a lot, too.
>>24949475>EarthseaI read these too. You don't count them as 6 separate books? Inflate those numbers, baby.
>>24949373I read 2 books this year and I am impressed, feels pretty good
>>24949427You got this my brotha. I believe in thee.
>>24949373it's ok anonit's not a job, you are not supposed to make up lists and schedules and force yourself to do sometingyou should only read whatever you like at the moment when you feel like reading somethingI think reading more than 5 books puts you easily in the top half of the readers in your country
>force yourself to read stuff you don't enjoy / don't understandPseuds gonna pseud
I'm ten books short on my twenty-four-book goal myself right now. Was thirteen short a week ago. Can't fail, mommy would see that. I can't disappoint mommy
>>24949373Be cool, George! You can still pull this off.
>>24949373Keep going bro, make it about enjoying the books, not ticking boxes. I had a reading list this year that I'm on target to finish, but I don't give a fuck how many were on it, and I felt free to drop one book that was shit.
>>24949373>finished 10 books in the first 3 months of the year>started House of Leaves in April>still haven't finished it>only read 4 or 5 other books in the meantimeidk what the fuck happened bros, one of those "in the meantime" books was IJ and I read it in only a week
I read 97 books this year. But I also abandoned twice that many after a few pages. If a book doesn't grab you by the end of Chapter 1 it makes no sense to keep reading. It's not like the author kept the best for the last few pages.
>>24949373>43 books readAnd I read only 1-2 hours everyday. Feels gud man
>>24949373ngmi
>>24950372Same
>>24949373I TRIED SO HARDAND GOT SO FARBUT IN THE END IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER
>>24950171they are separate books but they only take a couple hours to read
>>24949384>Magic Tree House>9th grade
