>>24957973There's something just so... aesthetically and spiritually disgusting about integrated 2nd and 3rd gen immigrants, like the type who would write this 1000 page book. They rival the halal chicken and vape shop types.

I've been listening to the Jew Yorker short stories podcast at the gym lately, and I really tried to listen to every episode at first. But I have to skip the female readers now. Even when they pick male authors to read, they pick terrible stories; just aimless, emotionally dishonest, memoir-esque fiction with no symbolic depth or narrative structure. Dialoguic diarrhetic mush. And even when they accidentally pick good stories, they go off with the podcast host lady on these awful interpretive digressions where I can just feel the author rolling in his grave. Sadly there are few places to find good collections of audio short stories.
>>24957994You chuds then turn around and whine about immigrants not assimilating. You can't win with white folks
>>24957973>>24957994Typical straight white males trying to invalidate the life experiences of 2nd and 3rd generation POC. The world DOES NOT revolve around you and your interests, chuds

>>24957973In some ways I find that lit intruiging to read because it offers an insight into the dull mind of a sheltered chick who has spent her entire young adult life moving between higher education institutions in the US and Britain and therefore has zero insight into the real world. Every situation the protagonist finds themselves in is presented in the exact same flat emotional tone, as if the character too is dependent on SSRIs to make it through the day.
