But on the topic, I had the best philosophy teacher in high school. He would give you completely random grades unless you wanted to discuss seriously, and in that case he would grade you for real. Studying was optional for discussion too, although it helped, and you could read from the book too during the discussion, so it's not just memory exercise. Also, he would encourage discussion by calling kids that don't understand or pay attention retards. He was a real proto 4chan Anon and just his attitude alone made me take philosophy as my life long hobby. Oh and he was also drunk 24/7. Sounds really bad, but people who wanted and had the capacity to learn philosophy were treated fairly and received honest and good advice on learning and life in general, while the others were treated like either random background noise NPCs, or total retards.
