Don't make me stop you, read Ancient Roman literature:
>Cast the die and cross the Rubicon.
>It is better to ask for forgiveness later than ask permission before.
If you want to take that risk then take it but you need to cover your ass up and down and back and forth to prevent being taken advantage of or fraud. Just because I personally wouldn't do it and I think less of you because you would, doesn't mean that you should march lockstep with my prescription.
But if we were IRL friends I would be that friend who would be shitting on the idea from the start.

I hate black people. Not because of the color of their skin or any condition of their birth. That would be racist, and I'm no racist. No, I hate them for the content of their collective character, which is darker still than their skin, and for the abhorrent choices they make time again and time again. I hate them because they're ignorant, impulsive, brutish beasts of the field, driven only from their lazing by carnal pleasure and shiny objects and jungle beats, that, having outlived their usefulness as farm equipment and personal property, have no value or contribution to make to society that provides for their every need, and yet they persist, seemingly only to extract value from net taxpayers (white people) as a form of racial punishment for something neither was a party to. They live a lie, enabled at the expense of others, that lack of compensation and the exploitation of their unskilled labor is the root of their people's suffering, and thiugh no manner nor quantity of recompense ever corrects their inequity, still they demand more. In truth, it was their inequity that birthed the conditions of their treatment, and that inequity persists and continues to grow. They complain endlessly about their station and at once collectively shame any of them that should make any effort to rise above it.

Books that reinforce my objectively correct, non-racist views?

There is absolutely zero reason to move out of a loving parental home. Zero reason. Its a psyop created by capitalists to make people move out and rent rent rent in the name of independence even though you know damn well you cannot support yourself. And then theres all these years between the time you move out and the time your parents die where you are just fucking yourself then after that you inherit the house which you subsequently sell to blackrock. All the time you are working for a corporation being a wage slave.

Even people who hate the country they live in still feel pressure to become a successful citizen, it's embarrassing. There's only 3 goals as a human: survive, reproduce, and enjoy life. The second being entirely optional.

I think my gf and I have finally realized that there are some feelings I have over her past that I will never get over. There is nothing at all wrong with the relationship and its potential is beautiful, but I don't think I will ever respect or get over certain aspects of her past like the fact she would readily kiss guys on the first date or gave a handjob on a first date or the fact she slept with a date on the third date. Since there are no active reasons to end this relationship, I predict it will go on for months and months until we slowly completely check out and end things non-confrontationally in 6 months.

You should have said that in your original post. Instead, you said collective character. This is a subtle but important difference that betrays your true prejudices that lie in race. Race is nothing but a collective character, and then it is but mostly and often entirely phenotypic. There is absolutely no reason to assume that every person with dark skin is an agent of the distinctly dysgenic culture that defines the black american experience, which you so astutely detailed in the aforementioned original post, or even that the only agents are those with dark skin; therefore the only conclusion left to draw was a prejudice based on race. Frankly it dilutes the impact of your cogent analysis. Here is a book that may be of interest to you; I imagine it can help you hone your prejudices to be more precise and therefore sharper and more cutting: https://gutenberg.org/files/23/23-h/23-h.htm.
>>
>>24974271
It's not my fault that most of them are like that or that I noticed. I said that not all of them are like that, that the ones that aren't getting shamed for it by the rest. You're the one that's attributing differences in behavior and ability to race. That's racist. I'm sorry to tell you, but I think you're projecting your racism onto me.
>>
>>24974271
Everyone is racist, get over it, the sooner you understand that people who claim to hate racism are nothing more than people who are using the levers to beat others with but in a more disingenuous fashion.
anti-racism leads explicitly to cultural and racial death of those that embrace it.
>>
>>24974279
>It's not my fault that most of them are like that or that I noticed.
I never said it was.
>I said that not all of them are like that
No you did not.
>that the ones that aren't getting shamed for it by the rest.
You said that the ones that make any effort to rise above their station are getting collectively shamed, not the ones that aren't like that (as in, dysgenic). Again, a subtle difference, but one that completely changes the meaning and tone of your post.
>You're the one that's attributing differences in behavior and ability to race. That's racist.
I am. What I'm driving at, is that you are as well.
>>
>>24974291
Generally people who are anti-racist are the most racist the moment they realize you aren't ideologically on their side, which is ironic.
>>
>>24974297
>anti-racism is built on racism
>particularly anti-white racism
>the whole ideology is a tolerance paradox trap
You get it.
>>
>>24974291
I find it very interesting and not a little humorous that you would think the fact that everyone is racist is something I need to accept when in fact that is exactly what the original poster is denying by framing his valid critiques of african american culture as that of character and not race, and of which my post was attempting to dispel him of.
>>
>>24974295
That they're not all like that was implicit in that statement. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree about whether I'm racist, but I don't think your opinion means much on account of being a racist.
>>
>>24974302
Now you are starting to understand.
>>
"Racism" is just having a healthy sense of pattern recognition. It's literally evolutionary. We couldn't survive without it.
>>

>None of the black people bothered to help besides the bus driver who probably was shitting himself to death thinking he'll lose his job
>No repercussions for anyone on that bus socially, no accusations of racism, not lamenting that men in society don't do anything to protect women anymore

>some black dude mugs a white woman in a university quad while some white dude watches
>white dude gets up and walks away
>gets arrested for not intervening
>gets kicked out of college for not risking his life
>women lament that men are useless and don't do anything
>some radicals call to kill all men who do nothing when a bad thing happens

I think they're just rewarding black people who resist their natural urge to join in on the crime for no reason at all. That's really all you can ask, expecting them to stop a crime is too much.
>>
>>24974315
Precisely, which is why I said here >>24974271 that the original post's conflation of the impacts of race with that of culture had a dilutive effect on their analysis. This being said, although race (i.e., "nature") quite supersedes culture (i.e., "nurture") in terms of influence on an individual, the latter is not impotent; you can have both, which is why the original post is still quite potent despite aforementioned shortcomings.

Even before the current AI craze, machine learning did revolutionize finance and scientific research.
James Simons was a mathematician who used machine learning to run an ultra-profitable hedge fun (30-50% excess returns). This was back in 1980s, guy became a billionaire almost overnight using what would be the foundations of all modern AI technology.
A fuckton of scientific research use machine learning to pick up on patterns that humans couldn't pick up on, for example in psychology, finding correlations between facial features and things like personality traits, disorders, and sexuality, essentially proving physiognomy does exist. Astronomers and physicists used machine learning for decades to help build and test models and theories.

And during this AI craze:
A few days ago the AI vtuber Neuro-sama broke the subcount record on Twitch.
Expedition 33 which used AI in its development pretty much sweeped The Game Awards, winning most of them.
Western militaries and intelligence have supposedly been using image recognition neural networks to keep track of Russian positions, stockpiles, and losses from satellite photos.
Machine language translation has become much more accurate compared to the early days of Google Translate, you can effortlessly communicate to people from entirely different language groups with little lost in translation. I've seen jeets and chinks arguing in YouTube comments both in their native languages of Hindi and Mandarin and everything is coherent when translated into English.
And even though "vibecoding" is rightfully shitted on, developers no longer to have write any boilerplate code or implement simple functions and algorithms themselves, making them much more productive. LLMs are being specifically trained to get better at coding and are getting better at progressively difficult software engineering problems.
These are just ones I can remember off the top of my head.

Don't get me wrong, I definitely think AI is a bubble and drastically overstated in what it can or will be able to do, but the technology itself isn't going away at this point and the people who can use it properly are going to get way ahead of the people who refuse to touch it. Responsible use is the key obviously. And I still prefer human-made art and literature.

Dumb motherfucker here,
I occasionally buy old books and just got one that's fucking green on top. I don't think it's mold, doesn't smell so bad and the discoloring hasn't affected the actual pages. Can I keep this without it somehow spreading and affecting my other books?
>>
>>24974882
How old is it? Usually the concern with green books is they're old enough cyanide dying was a thing
>>
>>24974892
1930, so I think that's after cyanide stopped being used. If I die I'll come back to confirm/deny.
>>
>>24974903
You just want to avoid steaming it. If it's an arsenic or cyanide dye, it's usually handling the book or the book getting wet that makes them dangerous. It looks like the dye has been water exposed so even if it's one of the more dangerous green dyes, it's probably had most of its venom leached out, like how pewter is safer after hundreds of years of use because the lead from the working surface has been eaten or drunk by other people

I used to like to go in the waybackmachine and look through eight-chan before it got shut down. Not talking about any of the thousand copy cats, the original one. There were stories on there that I enjoyed going back to for nostalgia, there were also stories there that made me uncomfortable but would make me think, and sometimes I would try to find my own posts that I created a decade ago. There were certain characters on that site that ive felt that I was personally drawn to and to this day I still wonder how they are doing. I felt like an archaeologist studying a time capsule. Last time Ive did this was in 2022.

Recently I just found out that waybackmachine has blacklisted the URL, its no longer accessible. Its a bittersweet feeling when I found that out, on one hand its gone forever and i am never going to see it again, and on the other its like all that hate and vitriol has been erased for good like it has never existed. And in a way, that brings me closure.

>between 19 hours and 20 hours are gone during weekday, you are left with 5-6 hours, this is without going out with friends/family or having kids, if you take this into account you may have 1 hour maybe a little more during weekday

My parents are giving me a ~$50 book budget for my birthday+Christmas :3

If I stick to buying used off of AbesBooks, which is how I've done it for the past several years, each book is only ~$3-$6, so I'll end up with 10-17 books! A productive addition to rebuilding my library.
>>
>>24975167
Abesbooks is hella sick. Where else am I going to get cheap rare partially destroyed books full of noted from 1993? I love that shit
>>
>>24975216
hehe

So long as you stick to the "very good" or "almost new" or w/e quality designations, you're fine. Maybe one out of the hundreds of books I've gotten from there had annotations and markings so extensive to the point of distraction and inferring with ease of reading the text. Well worth the money saved.
>>
>>24975228
Oh you misread me, I legitimately love books with notes and whatnot. It's unironically my favorite thing about that site, other than the signed and first edition prints.
>>
>>24975167
>>24975216
so its just ebay but for books? Could be nice I guess
Shieeet remember bookdepository? Freeshipping worldwide + low prices in general.
That site was my jam, even though its obvious why they had to shutdown
>>
>>24975240
ah :D

Let's set up a relationship where you buy me books, I extensively annotate them with my thoughts, analysis, outlining of its form, and summation of its characters and ideas, and once I finish reading it, I send it your way!

>>24975243
I believe on abesbooks, you're primarily buying from various bookstores all around the country/world, and not so much the average joe. So you don't ever get cheated or deceived is my point. Though one time I did receive the wrong book.
>>
>>24975260
>So you don't ever get cheated or deceived is my point. Though one time I did receive the wrong book.
Nta but some booksellers are anal af, I once got a copy of a book which was medium/fair, and what the bookseller meant was the dustjacket was creased a little at the bottom, when it got more creased by my putting it on the shelf once. I think if it wasn't shrinkwrapped, it wasn't new to that guy
>>
>>24975278
Haha. I think the handful of times I was forced to order fair/medium quality, just like you said they almost always turned out to be damn near brand new lol.
>>
>>24975260
Deal, but you have to read what I want, and I'm a post modern jackass. You also have to pay shipping.

>>24975243
Not eBay because there is no bidding process, but you can usually message a seller and handle a few bucks if it's something terrible or unpopular. I like it a lot.

>>24975278
Yup, some people have that collectism where they try and "speculate". Personally I love signed books addressed to various other people; I find it neat.

I don't know about other anons, but I have thousands of screenshots that I am sifting through, I'm mostly deleting them and I agree with you for the most part, but there was a time when the internet was like the wild west, it's gone now.
All of my best posts were on /lit/ from way back then, and I'd never be able to replicate them in a book or otherwise, partially because people have become so antagonistic and have trigger fingers, partially because it was from a time when I believed the internet was a private world for private people, which isn't the case anymore. The bar's closing.

every time a christian on this site has said something antisemitic I've told them that they literally worship a Jew.
I've done this about 10-20 times by now and I've not received a rebuttle besides an insult, I wonder how Americans, because that's what I assume they are, say they are Christian without knowing that Christ was a Jew.
>>
>>24975767
Christ wasn't a Jew, he was a Christian.
>>
>>24975767
Jesus transcends the bonds of flesh.
Jews, used in the metaphysical definition, worship the material world
Loving the one and hating the other is only natural
>>
>>24975767
A major theme of Christianity is fallen things being redeemed by grace. If you've read anything from the Old Testament, you'd know the Jews were basically chronic fuckups who could not stop failing to keep their covenants and reaping the punishments as a result. Christ being born to these people is as much of a sign of grace redeeming a wayward and fallen people as anything in His ministry. This, of course, made the Jews of his time seethe to no end, to the point that they wrote fan fiction about Him burning in Gehennah in the Talmud and still seethe about Him today, 2000 years later.
Of course, if you turn your brain off when you see anything related to Jews then all of this goes over your head.

I went to a night club because my gf will be on stage later. It's 23:20 now. We've been here a while. They'll start midnight. But I absolutely hate it here and my anxiety is going through the roof. Top five productivity goals to achieve in the new year:
1. achieve inner peace by silencing your thoughts, then outsource your internal monologue to ChatGPT
2. go to bed early enough each night to enter an infinite dream realm from which you never wake
3. watermark documents you make at work with transparent sigils of minor gods and daemons
4. schedule an exorcism of your workplace without notifying your supervisor
5. replace your e-mail signature with quotes from a grimoire describing things man was not meant to know

Things like:
>I need someone to spoil me
>treat me like a princess
>need a sugar daddy
>I wanna be someone's passenger princess
I just saw one girl's profile that said,
>I need someone to be able to take care of me (sic)
I've seen this lots of times before but it's like every other profile now. These chicks are delusional. It's not just super young girls either, I've seen profiles of girls as old as their 30s who think they're hot shit. And the thing is, this exists (it's called marriage) but they don't want the commitment or responsibility that comes with that (and they likely don't want children anyways, and they want to be able to continue partying and drinking in a no strings attached relationship).
