It's another Vineland
I've only read V and The Crying of Lot 49.Which of his works should I read next? I thought both were good but Lot 49 I enjoyed the most.

>page 10>3 repliesPynchon was a mistake
Vineland is my least favorite of his works (haven't read Bleeding Edge or Against the Day yet). This was like a less serious Inherent Vice and since I'm a sucker for detective novels I had a good time reading it. Mason & Dixon is his best bee tee dubya.
It's another Inherent Vice
It's better than Vineland.
Is it actually good, or is he just putting this out for money?
>>24985082yes
>>24982469Does Pynchon have any shame? He has basically destroyed his legacy with everything since Vineland.
It's for us real pulp heads. Heaven forbid a guy wanna write something fun
>>24985118A writer's worst works don't matter, only their peaks
>>24985123This. It was fun. I'd rather he put it out than die and never be able to read it.
>>24985173Wrong. Bad works expose them as the true hacks that they are. The curtain is pulled back and you realize that they just got lucky or never should have stopped doing drugs/drinking.
>>24985082I read the first hundred pages and dropped it. There's nothing even remotely interesting about it.
>>24985274holy fucking filtered lmaooooo
>>24985276This guy is right >>24985118 Everything after Vineland is objectively awful.
>>24985282you're buggin, mason & dixon is pynchon's one of greatest maybe even bigger than gr cuz it's more accessib le
