do people actually get any value out of how to make friends? i think i'd blow my head off before considering reading a book on how to be a normal person

>>24984664Life circumstances. Relationship problems, feeling like I’ve become stagnant in my job/position, about to enter a period of life that will require a lot of change/transition. Also I felt like i listened to too much Jordan Peterson, it I also feel like im naturally or have naturally become stoic as a defence mechanism. I’ve prided myself on always telling the truth, even in situations where it would clearly have been more beneficial to lie or at the very least omit the truth. Then I see people above me who are running rings around me by lying and being manipulative, my eyes have been opened to my naivety. Also a frustration for me is that I now have to relearn things that in my younger years came naturally to me. Somewhere along the line my attitude became “I don’t care to play these types of games, I’ll tell the truth and deal with whatever consequences come” - which I considered a virtue, only now am i realising how naive I’ve been
