There is much a man might learn from the minds of women, were he willing to lay aside pride and hear them with humility.
>>
I always check the biography of the author before picking up the book. If the author
>is a woman
>is gay
>is fat
>is a loser that had zero life experience and zero legacy
then I completely disregard their opinion and move on to the next author. It's so easy to spot frauds who just want to dump their misery porn on someone as if people don't have enough of that in real life already. This partially the reason why zoomer writers don't exist, you can't create meaningful life experiences when your daily routine is pretty much
>wake up
>stare at garbage online
>masturbate
>maybe eat
>masturbate

i enjoy Arndt because you cant tell she's a woman from her writing. but you can tell shes a jew.

I don't read philosophy

>no Julia Kristeva
Bad list

Also I believe Butler identifies as nonbinary now

Actually, none of my favorite philosophers acknowledged learning anything from women, were it the case that they actually listened to them at all. Why should I do otherwise?
>>
I dont actively avoid reading female writers. However its very possible to have a rich and varied reading experience sticking only to men. This fact seems to bother women very much. It is entirely possible for a male brained man to just so happen to only read books written by men. Meanwhile women have no choice but to read male authors if they wish to know what is possible in novel format

I swear I am no misogynist but I just can't take women seriously.
>>

In my experience, most women are quite happy to read male authors and will count said authors among their favorites. For many men, it seems like an indignity that they should have to read any woman at all, even those enshrined in the western canon.
>This fact seems to bother women very much
Because the varied experience is obviously qualified when it precludes the experience of women.
>>

because how can a man, who simply "does things" for little reward is can relate to someone who "does nothing" and reaps everything?
>>
>>24986782
Those aren't necessary characteristics of either gender and aren't even true on average. There are plenty of men who do nothing and are disproportionately prosperous and similarly many men who are extremely obsessed with things that offer them little beyond satisfaction.

Who cares, still a woman

What do you think a misogynist is?
>>
>look up Anne Dufourmantelle's wikipedia page
>Her philosophical work focused on risk taking, which she argued was essential, saying that "absolute security - like 'zero risk' - is a fantasy"[4] and that "[R]eal danger must be faced in order to survive".[6] Her book Éloge du risque or Praise of Risk was published in 2011.
>She died on July 21, 2017, at Pampelonne beach in Ramatuelle near the city of Saint-Tropez, while trying to rescue two children caught in the Mediterranean when the water became dangerously turbulent. The children were rescued by lifeguards and survived, but Dufourmantelle could not be resuscitated.

Perhaps one of the most ironically tragic biographies I've read, but I guess she died while living by her principles. It would be very easy to mock her with misogynistic claims such as "haha this is what happens when women try to solve shit", but to me the intent is especially morally commendable due to her being a woman, because they are biologically hardwired to avoid this kind of risk and instead their actions are often limited to look around for men to do the job, unless the kids are their own children (someone may say that my stance is equally misogynistic because it's condescending to women, but it would be feminist nonsense pretending to deny differences between us, not just as a potential political project aiming at the abolition of the gender-sex categories but also as an actuality). And, even more tragically, she had children who she left after dying, which reminds me of those arguments by Ayn Rand to support egotism stating that pure altruism gets us farther from taking care of our loved ones, to whom we owe the highest moral responsibility, but that, while being true, doesn't take out the fact that it takes an advanced conscience to do that she did, even if such conscience was wrongly oriented.

By the way, regarding Rand, she is missing in the list by OP, which is probably not fair if the aim of it is to account for relevance, but it's probably something to be grateful for, because otherwise the thread would revolve around retarded supporters or detractors throwing shit at each other like monkeys, thus proving that she is, indeed, relevant; so her abscence is actually an implicit presence.

>haha this is what happens when women try to solve shit",
it's a fairly common situation though. ive heard it happening several times to men. its hard to save someone drowning, especially two people. a famous manga author died that way.

>For many men, it seems like an indignity that they should have to read any woman at all
Are women who read only romance books ever told to read more male authors?
It is an indignity to be told to do anything, especially when it's done by the pressure of the leftist idpol mob.

I've learned more from ACOTAR than all of the religious texts I've ever read.
The 100 anti-theses are closer to the Truth than any philosophy text ever produced by Man.
Emergence theory proves women are superior to any single man's effort.
The future is a hole that doesn't shut up.
The Jews know it, this is why they are vehemenly pushing for female leadership.

Hypatia was a contemplative mystic and ascetic. She was a virgin who saw menstruation as evidence of the flawed nature of the physical body, she was not a proto-feminist and empiricist agnostic like pop culture claims. Also none of her work survives, all we know about her thought is from stuff other people said.

And common sense, and basic decency, and humanity. You don't listen to subhumans or subhuman enablers, Anon. Down that road lies madness.

>>24987036
But this is what women mean when they say something's missing from male writers. Few are willing to admit the female urge to cuckold their husbands. Her instinct is to mould her husband into a beta bitch then cheat on him after wondering where the attraction went, and does not even consider the idea that she did it herself.
