I dont actively avoid reading female writers. However its very possible to have a rich and varied reading experience sticking only to men. This fact seems to bother women very much. It is entirely possible for a male brained man to just so happen to only read books written by men. Meanwhile women have no choice but to read male authors if they wish to know what is possible in novel format
