Is an english degree low iq compared to linguistics?
No. Why would it be?
>>24990886Those degrees have very different subjects and this is almost certainly the wrong question to ask
>>24990886Studying Humanities in college or university is low IQ in generalDon't know what else to tell you anon
Linguistics and english are very intertwined, just look at Shakespeare, so just double major in both. But it you live somewhere where it's hard to get a double major, then I would major in literature and minor in linguistics:Harvard's Dept of English had these classes for Fall 2025 (the semester that just ended):>7 courses on poetry>10 courses on writing>16 course on literature>Texts in Transition>literary forms>literary methodsWhile Harvard's Dept of Linguistics has these:>Language, Structure, & Cognition>Language in its Social Context>Knowledge of Meaning>Intro to Indo-European>Syntactic Theory >Phonological Theory I>Structure of Finnish>Advanced Linguistics
>>24991393They have hotter bitches, though. Thats what it really boils down to. STEM girls look dysgenic and everyone knows you to go to college to get laid.
>>24991393Yes and no. STEM is the land of upper midwits; the smartest and stupidest people are in liberal arts.
>>24990886I have a degree in linguistics and it was incredibly easy. Although I guess it might not have been that hard to lie about reading Dovstoevsky either.
