When you hear people discuss classics they’ve read, women seem much more likely to say Lolita. On Reddit and Twitter threads about it or YouTube analysis or clips from the films, the comments are usually mostly women discussing it.

There is an even a popular fashion trend among women based on it. But why? Where does the fascination come from?

minotaur milking farm is the alternativ

because women are actual pedophiles, next.

trvke that basedcucks like OP aren't ready for

Women are perverts, that's why. The reason you read it is to understand manipulation and abuse, and to enjoy Nabakov's excellent prose. Women don't read it for that purpose, they enjoy it as smut.

Bitches love purple prose.

Is that Rowling? Like J.K. Rowling? The billionaire who spends her fortunes trying to convince the world that transgender people are the ones threatening women and girls?
>>25002545
Women are given a lot more slack around children so female child molesters and pedophiles might feel bolder when discussing their dangerous desires.
>>
>exhaust my reservoir of superlatives
Rowling is such a pretentious pseud.

I haven't noticed this tendency but if it's true, here's one possible contributing factor:

— A man knows that if he says publically he likes Lolita, people might think or suggest he is a pedophile.

— A woman knows that if she says she likes Lolita, the worst that can happen is people might disapprove of her taste in literature. No-one is going to suggest she is a pervert who wants to have sex with young girls. (Or boys.)

Because Lolita is entry level purple prose trash that every braindead turbo normie - lacking IQ for Melville, Shakespeare, Joyce, for Milton, McCarthy, and Pynchon, for Wallace, Gass, and Burroughs - can enjoy and then pretend to be a well read intellectual that actually knows good prose.
>Look, I read this pedo book written a little bit better than average smut
>What an intellectual I'm now
>Ulysses? FW?
>That's pretentious trash
The only true sign of an elite reader is if he hard read, understood, enjoyed Finnegans Wake. Can't do that? Return to masturbating to little girls being raped by men described in the purplest, most stilted, most artificial prose ever, to literary version of an arthouse CP movie.

The increase in female pedophillia is because of the lack of children.
Women first cope with trying to make dogs their children with shit like dog mom
Then they realize that didn't work. So now their desire to have children is to become attached to other children.

Since they haven't any clue how to rear children and their only interactions with the other gender is sex, they become sexually attracted to children trying to fill the void left because they themselves have no kids

As for why married women with children do it? I haven't a clue.

I suspect just as many men would say Lolita if it wasn't viewed as "problematic" by women. Only they're allowed to like it publicly, when men do it it's creepy.

Women value style over substance, and Lolita is one of the most stylish books of all time

>Why is Lolita so popular among women?
probably because most women that are average-looking or better have had experiences with predatory men when they were teenagers.
>>25002545
>Nabakov's excellent prose.
Humbert Humbert's internal monologue is written like a redditor. Part of the point of the book is that he's an insufferable pseudointellectual.
