This comes completely with a rabid social media post + photos of them raising their middle finger to said arch, which is pretty much in character for a people who cannot get over things that happened 2000 years ago. I do wonder what the Italian locals think about this compulsive need to walk around a historical monument, and whether they connect the dots to the equally prominent compulsion to loosen the migration policies of countless Western nations.
