How do you write your journal?
>>25008691>journalGay.
>>25008691Dear diary, today I saw a dumbass thread on /lit/ and replied. Tomorrow I hope to do the same. Yours sincerly, Anon.
>>25008691Both. I carry a pocket journal on me at all times and write several entries throughout the day about things that happen in my day or thoughts I have. Then at home I write on my digital journal in samsung tablet every 2 or 3 days in a more structured and more organized manner, with the entries not being just a record of my daily life but instead being insights of what books I'm reading, what topics I have been interested in, possible ideas for essays, etc.
digital, and like once a year now (actually there was more than a year between the last two entries) I will write an entry in my paper journal when I am feeling extra super distraught and depressed and can't think straight I use an app on my phone. Benefits of digital are being able to view previous entries easily, being able to search, always having it on me, and being able to see pictures (they are added automatically to the bottom by date in my camera folder). Among some other things.Benefits of paper journal, I guess it would probably keep my handwriting in better shape. I don't find remembering entries any easier writing it by hand than by typing it.I also have to worry about someone finding it and reading it, I have taken pictures of all the paper journal entries but I can't bring myself to get rid of the book. I've had it since I was like 6 or 7 after all even though I only started really using it when I was 24. I really wish I had kept a journal earlier, sometimes I really want to know exactly what I was thinking about back then.
>>25008798Have you told your dad that you're gay yet?
>>25008691lol i dont write a diary because it's gay
I dictate it to my boyfriend after we're done having gay sex.
2025-05-24Just a few sentences. Name the place of work, weather, and illnesses or aches. If I worked with someone were they participating in workplace harassment toward me? If I got some free stuff, or if I see a cool bird I'll namedrop it. If it's weekends what did I do that day? Then finish it with something to be grateful for. I can do it on digital, composition book, or paint.
>>25008745Analog. I keep them in boxes under my bed. I've tried to keep it digitally because obviously I type much faster than I write longhand but I've never stuck to it and just end up leaving the files behind when I get a new laptop.

>>25009346>I also have to worry about someone finding it and reading it,this happened to me, though it was only an entry that I wrote on pad of paper that I planned to transfer digitally. I still keep cringing about the thought even though almost a decade had passed.
>>25008691Pen and paper. It uses more of the brain.
>>25008691Digital.I would love to go analog but if anyone read my journal I'd find myself on a one way trip to the looney bin.
