I know this is bait but since I've read it and no one is answering the question I'll do it.It's not good. The only good story is the second one, so read that one. Half the book (or more than half?) is a dictionary of online-slang, which really is as bad as it sounds. I'm not sure if she really thought it was a good idea, or funny or she just needed to fill pages to fulfill the book deal jew contract. There are other authors who did this better 15 years ago, like /ourguy/ Heiko Julien - I want To Die a Violent Death (which is also not good, but better). Also: attention grabbing image.

It's a gimmick book where she abuses zoomer lingo to the extreme, but if you look past it all the characters are very basic and there is no depth to any of the story. It doesn't even fit into the "style over substance" category, because using internet words is not a style, and the sentence structure mirrors that of every creative writing 101 class, with paratactic style and barely any subordinates as you can already see from the first pages here >>25036202. All it takes to break authors like this is to let them do an actual novel, if they have it in them. If they can sustain that sort of writing for about 200 pages and find a way for the reader to stomach it, good for them. But it also requires to put into the scene real technique in building characters, a semblance of plot, scenes, which I think she cannot do now. She's young, and she can learn, but hopefully she moves away from her first book into a second that it's worth reading until the end.
