Am I a pleb, or is "To the Lighthouse" a little dull?

It's written nicely. I enjoy going from one person's thoughts to another, and the descriptions are evocative. Literature doesn't have to be all about "the plot", but without any sense of pressure or drama it feels aimless.
>>
The whole time reading it I was asking "When are they gonna get to the lighthouse?"

And then I cried.

No, I got that impression too. Yes, it was very clever how translucent the window to each character's psyche was, or whatever, but holy shit did I not care and I could not say one thing about them anymore except I remember a guy who was nostalgic? about childhood? Yawn.
>>
You're a pleb. But that's ok. Reading good books slowly but surely makes you a better reader.
>>
It’s better and more human than Ulysses.

Your own fault for having reasonable expectations of a woman.

The book is more about the characters' interactions with each other than it is about plot, sort of like how Jane Austen's books are driven by strong characters, not a strong plot.
