as far as pessimism goes Schopenhauer took it to its reasonable limit where any step further falls into metal illness category so I don't think it's necessary.

Zapffe, cioran, schopenhaurer, mainlander, benatar, burger,

"Every cradle is a grave" is a pessimistic book in the style of online "rationalist" blogging a la scott alexander.

These are the names that come to mind if you wanted to build a little bibliography of pessimism :(
